may ten: mother's day

The first part of our day today was spent in a mad frenzy of cooking and cleaning and making ready for the company of grandmothers.

Soon enough our house was empty and still again, and we were left to piddle in quiet and peace.

With lots of Annie Oakley
and Paul Bunyan.
We've been soaking up Tall Tale adventures the last few days. Accompanying Annie and Paul have been Pecos Bill and John Henry. Which made Trev teary. Trev loves John Henry. :)

We snuggled in for Charge of the Triceratops
and then Theseus and the Minotaur.

During the readings, Mama had the thought "...this is the best part of the day...."

We checked out Bill Nye's show on Chemical Reactions.
Which was a pretty good intro to the periodic table.

And now we're gonna snuggle in and watch National Geographic's Tales From the Wild: Cara the Sea Turtle.

The day's been full of flowers, full of yummy food, full of good company, and the last half has been full of snuggly babies.
A mama can't ask for better than that.

G'night, then.
