Thankful


I found this lovely idea today (at Avery and Anderson), and just had to.



Instead of acrylic paints, I used our temperas, mixing my own colors.
note:  after a couple of days, the paint slid, so if you're setting these with light behind them, and want opaque,
you might want to commit to acrylics!


Just pour the mixed paint into your bottles, and shake them and roll them to distribute the paint well.



If you have a go at it yourself, I suggest you make a bit extra (of your custom colors) for a second coating in case you need it.  You can always use it for another project if your bottle doesn't need it!


So, so, so pretty.

A lovely bit to start a month of gratitude.

    SO pretty! The girls made ornaments that way at our homeschool group's Christmas party last year, but I've never seen it on such a large scale. I really like how it turned out!

    Great idea! We are going to do the same thing for christmas ornaments! I was going to go buy acrylic paint for it, but it looks like the tempera paint worked really well.
