Summer Vacation

Our first vacation, in a while.

East, we went, instead of the familiar south.

Since we live in a varied and fantastic landscape, gotta keep exploring!

To the dinosaur monument and quarry,

and old ranches,

Maddie spends lots of time loving and luring animals.
All animals.  ♥

 and hikes to arches.

we visited lakes,

and a favorite fishing oasis of their daddy.

We visited petroglyphs and pictographs,

and tried to revive ourselves (from 100+ degree weather--in the desert) with hamburgers and milkshakes.

We took scenic routes,

and made new friends.  (I do love that boy.)
