We went to our local historic farm today.
Was pretty great. It is not quite as hot today, so a couple hours in the sun was tolerable.
Maddie was thrilled with everything. Bunnies, cows, horseys, roosters, chickens, ducks and geese, and pigs (the sheep were hiding. no doubt it's way too hot for wool sweaters).Trev was thrilled when one of the pigs chose to get into his mudbath, which he really wanted to see.
He was disappointed that we didn't get to see any farm cats, however.
He felt quite proud of himself for jumping across the little ditches without falling in.
Trev didn't have a great appreciation for the fact that all the animals were in cages.
He spoke first to the horses. "Neeeeeeiiiiiiiggghhh. I'm Communicating With Nature, Mom."
lol.
Then it was the cows, and pigs, and turkeys, always " communicating with nature."You'd think this was the only exposure this child ever got to nature outside of an alley.
Reminds me of when he used to say, when someone knocked on the door, "Is it The Cops?!?" As if we led such suspicious lives that we always had the police banging on our door.
Hilarious.
Communicating with nature indeed!
