Today was Swimming Pool Day. (I'm not certain of the origin of the holiday, but I don't really need to be in order to enjoy the day.)
We had planned to spend the afternoon at the pool, but only managed to get about an hour and-a-half in. But we still had loads of fun.
I gotta give a shout-out to Murray Park pool, again. They've not the greatest kids area (meaning toys to jump and climb on), but they allow life jackets, and they have a large tube-slide that they'll let you double-up on, and even take your tot on.
Maddie thought she wanted to go (the landing is about 3 1/2 feet? and when I inquired about taking her, they said it was fine. (Not too many places let you play your way.)
So I took her.
And then again.
And then again.
And-again-and-again-and-again-and-again.
"Down 'e Slide!"
I was wishing dh was there with me to tag team after a while.
We got there late (had things at home that needed tending to) and then it was time to go pick up Daddy from work, and head over to the Aviary for dinner and to hear some live music.
It was a very pleasant evening. Tonight's performer was a cowboy singer. Cowboy poetry, H0me on the Range and Ghost Rider sort of thing. Shortly before it was time to head home, it started lightening, thundering, and sprinkling. It was certainly most welcome.
It's just after 10:00, and I feel as if it's midnight, so I'll sign off.
G'night.
