A Family Affair

Home again, home again, jiggety jig. (the little doorway is a mouse hole, complete with furniture and a light, it's one of my favorite things at the museum.)

'Mails here... mail's here! Lundi spent well over an hour delivering the post. She had several different partners - she outlasted them all.

I had to put this one by itself. Check out this stance on this grrrl. (borrowed from Laura again, but it's the only thing that fits!) Check her out. She's resting her weight one one hip, flinging out her hand to demonstrate, telling Trev how it is. Hilarious.

"Are you guys driving or walking home?" I ask.

"Psh. No, I'm drivin'!" said Nat.

"I'm walkin'." responded Trev. Could be he needed a break from the grrrl for a minute!

"Hey! Egypt!" cried Trev. "Look, mom, it's Ramus, he's mummifying someone!" I was just impressed that he remembered his name. Though I shouldn't have been - I've already told you that he remembers everything!

This was the first time Trev was interested in the tv news station. Before he's just never wanted to play.

Yesterday was all about zombies - it went something like "This is very important news! To the citizens of our town, you are in danger! THere are zombies taking over, and our citizens and town are in serious trouble!" Hilarious again.This one of Maddie is pretty evident, but I wanted to point it out anyway. She sat next to - but not too near, mind you, and just looked and looked at this dummy. I'm not sure what she thought. Eventually she got very brave and reached out her hand to touch it. Then back again. She did this like three times. Trev said later "Is that guy a dummy?"

"Yeah, it's a dummy."

"He totally creeps me out. I thought maybe it was dead. Totally creepy!

The helicopter play was mostly about "Mayday! Mayday! We're going down! We're gonna crash!" Back and forth between the ground control station and the copter pilots and rescuers in the back. Robyn and I were laughing and laughing.

Believe it or not, this wasn't everything. Nat and Lundi put on a play of Little Red Ridinghood, the children made a movie, there was dress up and chases in the Seasons room, building with blocks and then shaking them ont he earth quake machine, playing with magnets, paper airplanes in wind tunnels, and making pipe runners on the walls for little pingpong balls to shoot through.

It was a marvelous day!
