in search of spawn

Once again, LadybugZen at and her delicious boys at Collecting Leaves have inspired me to get out there!
Have you visited her blog? It's one of my very favorite places.

Anyway.
The house is clean.
The sun is shining.
We have two dates tomorrow - an early afternoon one with friends and the other with cousins.

Today Eric is home until 1:30 or so before he goes to work.

The spawn (or guppies or tadpoles or froglets) are calling, and I am eager to investigate!
We are headed with paraphernalia (books, jars, scoops, and nets) to the nature center on the Jordan River.
I don't know if we'll find any.

But even if we don't, we'll enjoy scooting on the sidewalks, peeking through the tall grasses, running on the boardwalk, quacking with the ducks, trying to spot migratory or water birds, and the feel of the sun beaming down on our heads.
