Today is the day that we celebrate our Spring holiday.
Helloooooooo Spring!
The babes were up early
...with bright eyes and bushy tails...
seeking their baskets.
Our morning (it's early, still) has been filled with tending to the babies (seedlings),
games with new earphones
hopping adorable wind-up chicks (no real ones for us, yet) jelly beans,
silly string
egg hunting
and loot surveying.
Our day of celebration has begun.
We'll see you tonight!
Happy Equinox!!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you celebrate spring on...THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!! When Dea was younger I started to ease the "Easter" holiday into a celebration of SPRING. Twas hypocritical to celebrate easter when we're not religious. The easter bunny became the "spring bunny"(I STILL have such a hard time remembering to say it! The whole holiday is so INGRAINED).
Anyway, I'll have to give some thought as to whether we should switch celebrating from easter to the actual first day of Spring. I like the idea of incorporating the earthy rituals of Ostara as well.
Looks like you're all having a lovely day!!!
Happy Ostara Rl8!
