Somewhere around the very first play of the day was prehistory in the sandbox.
And we worked angles

and balanced

and drew pictures with chalk on the tramp.
We watched a teenytiny spider spin strings of his web in our garden.
And saw our first Butterfly of the season.
We played in the soil with worms

and planted peas

and greens
and we showed-off beautiful freckles.

There were volcanoes (with many, many eruptions)

and aftermath.

There was a neighborhood walk, bike riding, tag, chase, and jumping.
Lovely Spring.
Peas, yummy! :-)

Wow! Still with the snow?
ReplyDeleteWe've had spectacultarly sunny days too...but snow is long gone...we just didn't get much of that here...6 miles from the White House. :D
We're still having some of those cold, cold, nearly-freezing nights so indicative of early spring.
Love the pix!
Mary
Love those balance beams.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to try something like that.
Mary - we can get snow into May. :/
ReplyDeleteSo April snow is definitely not a surprise, but expected.
But our days are getting warmer... we've moved into the fifties, so we're getting there.
:)
Love the peas...;)
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing outside my window as I write this. Looking forward to some sunshine as well. :) Happy you were able to soak it up for a couple days!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had sun for a couple of days. It looks like you made the most of it. I think it's funny to see kids going barefoot where you've just had snow. My southern kids wait until it hits 80 before pulling off the socks and shoes. :)
ReplyDeletePeas look great! Loved the bubbles, and of course the lovely freckles!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of building blocks are those that you used in the bubbles?? They look cool.
ReplyDeleteTheresa - It's called "Build and Learn Geometry Kit".
ReplyDeleteIt won't let me link directly, but I got it at Lakeshore... you can just do a search for the kit.
