Lovely days! You welcome autumn and we welcome spring.
ReplyDeleteActually, I think it might just be the Southern Hemisphere that do the season change on the 1st of the month rather than the equinox? So you're still in summer eh?
ReplyDeleteNikki- Yup- September 21 is our usual first day of the Season change... when the sun passes over to the other side of the equator.
ReplyDeleteThis year it's the 22nd that it happens.
I'll be squeaking a bit more through, if I can. :)
I loved that part of Little House in the Big Woods. That stuffed animal sure looks cute hanging up to dry! What is that black gooey stuff?
ReplyDeleteMarshmallows and toothpicks and more, oh my! :-D
ReplyDeleteI noticed the first picture especially, because we read "The Best Nest" recently. What a funny book.
Wow... August's last day. Oh, wait. It's already September now!
Jane - it's slime that we usually tint black to make it look like tar, for Tar Pits. :)
ReplyDeleteAaahhh...to be one of your kids. :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't remember one single day of my childhood that was anywhere near as awesome as this!
Oh, I *love* that story in LHitBW. So funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the branch?
It just fell. I was out on the patio, and heard a crash.
ReplyDelete??? Not even much wind.
Trimming itself, I spose.
What a lovely day. I love all of the pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are blessed to have such a carefree life filled with happiness and the freedom to grow and flourish in such a creative environment.. they are going to have amazing childhood memories! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother amazing day. Well done! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat black goop looks disgusting. Just what my kids would love. How did you get it that color?
ReplyDeleteInoureyes: black food coloring... from the cake making section at Michael's.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful full day!
ReplyDeleteI just love the photo of the kitty drying on the line... so sweet!
