Monsters and aliens... just in time for Halloween.
This process of using wire as a shape base (skeleton) is called armature.
It's functional... and looks very cool if you leave some of the wire exposed!
For this one we used floral wire, the white, light modeling clay, little squishy ooey body parts, and paint.
We made our shapes roughly with the wire, first.
When that was all ready, we opened up our large package of modeling clay... we knew we had to work fast, as the stuff dries and stiffens pretty quickly.
For the bases of our creations, we stuffed the clay inside the balls or truck to add weight.
We added body parts and googly eyes and paint.
So fun!
Monstrously, even.
