Woodland Elves

We have a den that is perfect for woodsy, natural toys and decorations for the winter holiday season.

Every year we scoot out to our frozen gardens to let Mama Nature charm and inspire us into imaginings.

Today was one of those days.

For our elves, we picked dried flowers – echinacea, dock, rosehips, long-dried pepperming flowers, and whatever else looked like it wanted to play. We also snipped pines, picked up pinecones, plucked cinnamon sticks from the jar, and took some squash stems – which makes for a lovely for a scarf!

We grabbed the hot glue gun (just in case) and the floral wire, and set to play.

We glittered rosehips. In beautiful, sparkling red, and frosty white.

We played with these beautiful caps that I found at Eric’s mother’s house – the first time I saw them, I just knew they longed to be winter caps!

Soon our elves started coming to life.

I’m quite certain that we’ll have at least a few of these little friends to play with in the coming days.

Wishing you a Happy Wander,

and Wonder.
