Giving Away

Though we have a few give-aways planned around here at the moment, I had a need to offer something special.
Books are one thing, and I'm so grateful to be able to offer them!, but I wanted something sweet and playful and beautiful.

Mainly, I think, because I feel my life is something sweet and playful and beautiful.
And some of that I owe to you, and to the sense of community you offer me.
Does that seem strange that I consider you my community?
You're my mama friends. Someone I tell my stories to. Friends that I can lay my problems and ideas before, and say "Here. What do you think?" People that give me ideas. And support. And love.
And I can't even begin to tell you how important all of that is to me.
I'm so, so thankful.

So!
I went begging to my friend and asked her to make us a present.

We have had and loved their stilts in our house for about two-and-a-half years, they were a gift for Trevelyn for his birthday.
This year, they've decided to put some of their ideas and craftwork in an Etsy Shop!
So it was an easy decision to choose these for a give-away for you.

The give-away starts today, and we'll close it December 10 - plenty of time for you to receive them by Solstice or Christmas.
The winner of the drawing may choose the large or small stilts.

They're handcrafted, wooden block stilts with soft rope handles, and Julie includes a note for you on how to take care of your wooden toys.
You may also place your order for the stilts at their Etsy shop, Craftmatter. If you order soon, there will be plenty of time to receive your order before the holidays!

All of the usual things apply to this give-away;
  • leaving a comment gets you one entry
  • being or becoming a follower (through the sidebar) gets you another
  • posting on your blog, facebook, or twitter will get you an additional chance to win
As always, the drawing will be done by hand, so please just leave one comment saying so if you are a follower, and/or if you have announced it for your extra entries.

Shipping will need to remain in the U.S. and Canada for this give-away, unless you are willing to pay the difference for overseas charges.
We'll announce the winner on Friday, December 10, 2010.

See?
Sweet, and playful, and beautiful.
Perfect.
