so i unplugged and watched my three loves play in the water,

and when the waves stilled and all was settled, I grabbed my ipod and coconut lotion and laid on that yellow mat on the water for an hour or so.

mid-afternoon we left home and went exploring...
to the zoo.
our zoo has a special life-like dinosaur exhibit this summer, so we got to see roaring, moving, spitting dinosaurs. my two paleontologists loved it, naturally.

lemonades and cotton candy and train rides later, we played at the playground 'til the place closed.
to dinner it was, at a favorite place,
then to the store for a couple of essentials.
home again, home again,
to a verra hot house...
which turned out alright, as we stripped to our skivvies, and had our first midnight swim of the summer.
darkness, skin, and salt water?
decadent and sublime, my friends.
so, there now.
all better.
The tiger picture is profound. Such majesty.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your need to swim to cool down. It's only 50 here. So enjoy it enough for me too ok?
It's fun to check in only once a week or so and see the fabulous doins'. I hope you are feeling all sorted out and peaceful.
Happy birthday to all in all ways :) Of course!
All better now. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found the gentleness you needed. :-) We have those dinos this summer at our zoo, too...must get there soon. A midnight swim - how lovely!
