I heard a robin's song at 6:29 this morning.


pretty soon there were blue skies.


and Mr. Nutcracker rat-a-tat-tatting.


there is a promise of 50º (10º) today.

I stand smiling, and in love.

    Sounds a bit like here - nuthatches and a sudden visiting of robins, and even some peepers along our path yesterday...it's all so welcome!

    I have to tell you that last night I had the most vivid dream that my family was visiting yours - the whole dream was colored in this autumnal gold, there was a fire in a fireplace, good food, and a few awkward moments at first of not knowing quite what to say, but then hours of long conversation and aha!s and laughing. it was so nice!

    We heard a new (spring?) birdsong through the open window today! We just sat and listened. Gorgeous.
