I've started to write a long, reflective, "miss you--miss my village" post, but I figure I should backtrack a bit and at least get October's days in.
What have we been doing? What does life look like?
We've made paper lanterns.
(this was her "what it should look like" sketch--we did pretty good, huh?)
Investigated bridge supports (Bridges and Tunnels : Ivestigate Feats of Engineering with 25 Projects),
done some toothpick-static magic
played with Sound
played with paper,
reminded ourselves that water molecules long to be together,
and again,
tried roller blading,
(he did just fine)
started this,
played with mathematics,
investigated and built dams,
practiced zombie and skeleton skills,
had sleep-overs,
researched,
loved,
started Metapec suns,
finished this,
made rain,
made stars,
discovered the science behind sticky ice,
finished our Suns
made darling snowman art (Grammie is getting this one framed, for Christmas)
this,
a bit with Grammie,
and then this.
Life is good.
Looks like a fun month. The Kiwi Crate post was great! Is that star on a Christmas tree??
