First and always I marvel at the beauty of my world.
I'm not sure if everyone everywhere has the same chance of finding such abundant glory, if they'd only look.
All I know is that this land that I belong to is a spectacular stretch, and sometimes I wake in the morning and find myself greatly needing to be a more connected part of it.
After a bit of research, I came across Willow Heights. A short hike, between 3/4 and a mile, with a six-hundred vertical climb in the first half mile (for those of
you living in a flat world, think of climbing the stairs of a 60 story
building--steep!).
A bit daunting, but I really liked the lure of the aspens.
I had assumed that the splendor of the wildflowers would be over--
it's early August, after all.
And while the wild giant delphinium was past its glory
(but still clung to it's bright blue flowers
to remind you that
I Am),
there were many beauties still singing.
I listened most carefully,
of course.
And was thoroughly enchanted.
Back at home there is much laughter waiting...
and swimming
and a walk to the grocers
and computer play and videos.
All things that make it
a goodly sort of life.
All is well.
Sigh... Such beauty and peace here. A life lived abundantly. Thank you for always inspiring :)
