the five w's

(August 16)
What does gorgeous mean again?

How do you make a wish?

What is sawdust?

What is "Canon"?

Do you know how crocodiles care for their young?
"How, baby?"
Well, sometimes adults nurture their young with milk, but that isn't the case with crocodiles. Sometimes the crocodiles put the babies in their mouth, and carry their young to the water.

What does bald mean?
Then why do they call it a bald eagle?

  1. What did you answer him about the bald eagle? Caleb has been learning alot about birds of prey the last 6 months or so. He asked my this question a few months ago and my answer to him was unsatisfactory. Do you have a better one?
PS....Would you like to have Lundi for a few days when she comes to Utah? I'm sure she will want to spend most of her time with Megan and Nat, but I just really want her to be with Trev and Cakes, too. She is not much trouble....most of the time delightful, I might add. Think about it and let me know.
    Love you!

  2. I told him that I didn't know. But I found out this morning, and here is the link...

Make sure you take the space out of the link... it's between animals/ and What's_

The answer is that in old English "bald' comes from "balled", which means "shining white".

I talked to Rob and she told me Lundi is coming. Of course we'll invite her over.
I'll entice her by promising her a walk/ride trip to Iceberg, an old fashioned malt shoppe a mile down the road! And we'll go to the Children's museum before our membership expires!
