There was another half gallon of vinegar and two pounds of baking soda into the sandbox this morning.
And a couple of videos.
There was much outside play - the last day of friendly weather in the 10-day forecast. We soaked it up.
There were made-up games
making locks

and there was getting messy.

There was working in the garden
and prehistory revisiting.
There was a bike ride with a neighbor friend
butterfly watching (at least two different white cabbage butterflies today! - four visits)
playground play
and moss collecting and strewing.
Another butterfly - a Monarch!-
and then another! - a Mourning Cloak.

Aaaah... rowdiness with Daddy.
And dinner.
Books, videos, and sleep, I think.
Til tomorrow, then.
Oh my goodness! I've never seen/heard of a Mourning Cloak butterfly before. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYippee!! More kids that like to play in the mud :)
ReplyDeleteThe flutterby is magic.
The Mourning Cloak is beautiful! I don't believe that I have ever seen one either.
