First thing this morning we started on our Gingerbread Men. (We're making some ornaments for a gift for a certain Beloved whom we will be seeing very soon.)
And of course we decorated a few.
And ate a few.
Lots and lots of Christmas music.
And lots of snow eating.
Loud, wild dancing to Feliz Navidad. :)
We painted and then sealed our pick-up sticks we're making.
We'll tell you all about that very soon.
We made Compost Tea... and talked about carbon and nitrogen and plants.
We are waiting not-so-patiently to see if Round 2 of our leaf chromatography experiment will work. (We are trying again today. hmmph.)
There were interesting discussions:
"Mom... You don't go to jail for a long time for taking just one toy, right?"
(No, he didn't steal anything. He was watching Arthur and wondering about how things work.)
"Mom... does the mayor of Salt Lake have those talking cards?"
(Cue cards for speeches.)
And inventive experiments and investigations,
and
"Wait! I'm gonna study-ate with that. I need that paper!"
And there's been singing of Googol songs - from Multiplication Vacation.
And there has been eggnog.
Have you found eggnog yet, this year? :)
And a request for Chocolate Chip Cookies.
And beanbag deconstruction. (Madeleine. sigh.)
Oh yeah. That's why I put them downstairs, out of the way.
Well, better go, I guess.
We have a pioneer video to watch while we make those cookies.....
we'll see you tomorrow.
Beautiful Cookies...beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for sharing.

Feliz Navidad is fantastic to dance to.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely day.
Interesting experiment you got brewing there...
ReplyDeleteChocolate chip cookies are a regular request here too :)
One of my babes (sad to say I can't quite remember which)used to sing "Feliz Mud-ee-dud". One of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI love your days!
Mmm my tummy is rumbling now for some gingerbread men....to add to our list of Chritmas baking!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes we starting singing carols loudly here last night too!
All fun as usual at your place....so nice to watch again. x
Ah... love those cookies. I think it may be time to start making cookies here.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had another great day. :)
Music, food, and dancing. What more does one need? :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhh I just realised it's Thanksgiving for you guys :-) Not sure of the time difference, but anyway, Happy Thanksgiving :-)
ReplyDeleteMmm and the gingerbread men look divine :-)
Great gingerbread men. Such fun to make those! Good food, music and dance - what a lot of fun. Enjoy your day today!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little behind. Haven't had the chance to hop on the computer much lately with 4 of us sharing it and all.
ReplyDeleteAnyway,
What did you seal your pick up sticks with? I had the same idea after we were playing with mini marshmallows and toothpicks the other day (thinking that we could use bamboo skewers and big marshmallows in the same way). Anyway we're making giant pick up sticks with dowels, but I thought skewers would be better for learning the game with (Damek's interested). Oh, I also came across travel "pick up sticks" made out of toothpicks.
I made homemade eggnog (got a great recipe if you need it) on Thanksgiving (after the boys sampled some at Harmons the day before and loved it!). Of course I had rum in mine, the boys drank theirs virgin.
